I told you when I found one I would post it. It’s not great, but it is definitely her. This was taken by me on December 31, 1999, when her and her old band played for our New Year’s party. Also that is 80’s and I on the same evening. We partied like it was 1999.

How come all the pictures I have of 80’s and I are from drunken stupors? Oooh I have a BC story- eh nevermind- might get me in trouble.

That’s a shame. This chick rocks, pure talent and beauty. And yes I have known her in my lifetime. She is a good person and a true professional. She was born a rock star. It is undeniable. See her in person if you get the chance. If you want to impress her, don’t throw panties at the stage, try fishing hats. seriously.

We were right behind the people who filmed this one and put it on YouTube. Small world, isn’t it?

DD and I took the trip to see her in Spokane. We both fell in love a little bit and DD is pretty darned straight. The audio is not great but it reminds me when she used to cover “Got You Where I Want You” by The Flies, which was my favorite, ever, of all time.

On the menu tonight- baking one million Pecan Tassies with only one 12 count muffin tin. I sent the kiddos around to the neighbors to borrow additional muffin tins, but we live in a neighborhood of  middle aged self proclaimed bachelors. No muffin tins to be found and our Christmas budget is very stretched with honey home sick again today. This is going to be a very long night.

I took Baby Boy to get his haircut this afternoon. He is tired of his long long hair. I took him to the girl who does honey’s hair and I have finally figured out why she goes to this particular hairstylist. Don’t get me wrong she’s a good stylist but honey is adamant about seeing her. When she goes on vacation honey will wait weeks, getting ever more shaggy in the time this stylist is off work. Now I know why… She is gorgeous, drop dead. She looks so much like Brandi Carlile it’s kind of creepy. (remember… someday I’ll give tell you my own Brandi Carlile story) Even baby boy thought she was “hot”.  Looks like I may be getting haircuts more often, but I am not sure how much shorter it can get. Ahhhhhhhhh my own personal reminder of a once eighteen, tomboyish, rock star-to- be.

I just pulled the first pan of tassies out of the oven- what a disaster! brown sugar and pecans stuck to every surface of the pan. I think I will have to break down and go grab some of the silicone pans that are supposedly stick-free. It’s amazing the things they make out of silicone these days :).
