Welcome, Friends and Family

January 5, 2008 · No Comments

Blog world I would like to take this chance to introduce you to a few people in my “real” world who will hopefully join the legions of followers this blog has been lucky enough to attract.

In no particular order:

Blondie- a childhood friend and high school classmate with who I have recently reconnected with. She’s a wonderful, beautiful, mother of 3 who happens to be straight. We visit whenever she comes to town. She is a great hairstylist. She has given me the best haircuts I have ever had.  The kind that do themselves. Oh, and she F*ing  rocks at Karaoke.

Dear, dear J- is a friend from Honey’s former life ( the one that didn’t include me) but she is really family. Kind and generous and funny as hell. She and her partner live far far away in Portland. We are in a constant state of budget constraints and emergencies so we hardly get to vist them. Which sucks but maybe someday we’ll move closer to them and get to play all the time.

D is J’s partner. D is the bomb. Smart, ambitious, loyal and kind.

To my family and friends:

Meet Blogworld. There are some really cool, interesting women here. If you have time take a look at their blogs too (On the right, under blogroll). Some are later in life lesbians like me, others have artsy fartsy, save the world interests like me.

Oh and by the way, friends and family please know that any thing I mention about you is from my heart and never never meant to be hurtful. Sometimes things lose their intended tone  and/or meaning when written. Please remember this if you read something you don’t find to be accurate or in anyway icky, about or towards you.  Okay, enough said.

Go on, mingle.

Ummmmm who are you people?

December 22, 2007 · No Comments

50 hits today. Looks like my blog was put in an email link to several people. My last best day was 9. Not sure what is setting off the the landslide. But if you are interested in something in particular- just ask. I’m a pretty open book.

Also check out RSG’s blog in my links. It’s a great blog. Very funny, sometimes poignant.

Honey is sick sick sick today. Luckily our new Dr. has Saturday hours. Still too much to do for Christmas and the stress level is at critical mass. Tomorrow at noon time is up! anything not finished will not be finished. I’d like to spend some time with my family playing games, looking through old photo albums and making silly videos for future viewing. Not sure we would celebrate Christmas at all if it weren’t for those precious family moments we don’t make enough time for during the rest of the year. I hope you all are having a stress free, family filled holiday season. Merry Christmas Eve, Eve, Eve!
