Today’s blog entry was inspired by one of my many guilty pleasures- American Idol. The last 2 rounds they have sang Beatles songs, which to me is almost as good as sex. Not all of the contestants did well, but the ones who did knocked it out of the park. David Archaletta- might just give my #1 boy crush a run for his money in due time. What a fantastic kid. Did anyone else fall a little bit in love with Carly Smithson at the end of her “Blackbird” performance? Omg those eyes are stirring. David Cook rocked out DayTripper! He just did an outstanding job; DayTripper is my all time fav Beatles’ song and my personal coming out song. It took me sooo long to find out, but I found out!! I have no idea how the judges didn’t fall out of their seats- He is a rock star- done, period, end of story. One last thing before we get to my #1- all time boy crush. Ya know I am one huge sucker for a pretty face- case in point- Kristy Lee Cook. I stuck up for her during the unnatural and unerving performance of “Eight Days a Week” with a country twang dangle. After Tuesdays performance of “You’ve got to Hide Your Love Away”, I am done with her. Goodbye to my secret girl crush. OK ,on to my main man.
