Jealous?

**Warning**  Bakers, chefs, domestic goddesses, Martha Stewart and all the humble wannabes out there- beware- what you are about to see may upset you, may make you angry that your partners did not think of this themselves, or may send you on a post-Christmas shopping trip that will end with the purchase of many expensive tools and accessories.

There’s still time to turn back. Close this page if you are sensitive to the above mentioned subjects.

YESSSSS, she made this for me!! A couple of months ago I saw a similar item in a magazine and showed it to her. The one I saw was near $100 and only held 6-8 spices. She bought the little tins and filled them with the top 20 spices used by professional chefs, which required 13 hours of research. She labeled each of them in the color of the spice itself.  She even got Saffron (which I have never used because of it’s price).  Nice, huh?

PS I also got a the camera I’ve been whining about. Happy days!

Sigh, you are a very lucky woman. I did not not heed your advice and now I am seriously jealous of your handmade and super stocked spice rack. Great blog!

I would like to order one of those. How much and how long will it take??????

When do you need it? What size exactly? Do you want to purchase your own spices? Or do the labeling? It’s a totaly customizable piece. The one I have would go for around $300 but it is really big with 24 spices and price goes down as you do some of the work (labeling shopping for spices). Just let me know.
Could have one done in 10 days plus shipping time, easy.

So. Fricking. Cool. So cool. Question though: do the spices fall out when you open the tops, or do you removed the jar first and then open the spice?

    Well, Hi there LeLo!
You take off the tins off the board for use. Bump them lightly on the counter so the spices settle to the botom of the tin, and open. No spills as of yet-except garlic powder, onion powder and cinnamon are so fine the seem to leak. Well not leak but find its way through the grooves of the screw on top- We are working on this issue i.e. ordering a new kind of container. Then you just replace them on the board.
