Neither Honey nor I are religious people. We don’t worry much about Heaven or Hell. We both figure that if being homosexual leads us to Hell, we’ll see a lot of our straight acquaintances there too. Besides, no way are two otherwise good people  being sent to the same Hell that really bad people are going to, like, let’s say Hitler or Ted Bundy.

We like to think that if we are going to Hell, it’ll be more like Miami in summer than the fire and brimstone we grew up hearing about. We may even get air conditioning if we play our cards right.

This holiday season  may change our eternal fate. Every time we go to the store we drop our change in the little red bucket and promptly receive a “God bless you” from the cheery bell ringer. Each of us has a couple dozen blessings so far. That’s got to count for something, right? I think we are on to something.

If by chance the right winged Christians are right about our not being able to get into Heaven, we may have found our salvation. We’ll buy our way in. From what I hear gay men should have no problem doing this as they have the most disposable income of any other socioeconomic group. Us Lesbians will need to add it to our budget.
